Implementation of PPACAs Non-Discriminatory Provisions for Insured Group Health Plans Delayed

On December 22, 2010, the federal government issued Notice 2011-1 which states compliance with the non-discrimination provisions of the Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) are suspended for insured group health benefit plans until an undefined date. The notification was issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in conjunction with the Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services.
