The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Announces Revised Health Savings Account (HSA) Maximum Contribution Limits for 2018

On March 5, 2018, the Internal Revenue Service announced a reduction to the maximum contribution limit for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for the 2018 calendar year.

Please see page 17 of the attached Internal Revenue Bulletin 2018-10, Revenue Procedure 2018-18.

This change is the result of the IRS making adjustments to accommodate the new tax reform bill.

The new limit for those with family coverage is $6,850, revised downward from $6,900.  Self-only coverage did not change and remains at $3,450 for 2018.
